POSITION SUMMARY

The CFO will oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, investment activity, ALM, pricing, regulatory reporting, and board-level financial communication, while helping the organization scale thoughtfully for continued growth.

preferred qualifications
3-5 years of similar or related experience.
A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).

Thorough understanding of all lending processes to coordinate daily activity of the work area and ensure accuracy in loan files.
Assist in the development of budget and performance goals for consumer lending including volume and ancillary product production.
Have or be able to gain extensive knowledge of Credit Union products and services, operations, policies, and procedures including core operating system, Episys, to function effectively.
Maintain up to date knowledge of regulations and compliance within area of responsibility.
Ability to effectively resolve audit and exam findings within area of responsibility.
Effective team player and collaborator with all departments and staff of Credit Union.
Maintains a strong working relationship with CU resources internal and external including outside vendors as applicable.
Excellent knowledge of loan underwriting, credit counseling, cross selling, and outbound calling processes.
Excellent math skills and attention to detail required to ensure proper assistance for members, and accurate documentation of information.
Must have the ability to type and operate general office equipment and computer software.
Ability to use systems including Outlook, Instant Message, Word, and Excel.
Ability to gain proficiency in both the Core Operating System and Loan Operating System and to become a Subject Matter Expert and assist with Admin functions as applicable to area of responsibility.
Serves as a Credit Union advocate, representing Intrepid in a courteous and professional manner by conducting oneself appropriately always in manner and actions. Maintains and projects the Credit Union’s professional reputation.
Essential functions & Responsibilities
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Credit Union personnel to effectively support and leverage other staff and programs. Strives to promote a team atmosphere within the Credit Union and functional area. Attends meetings, including management meetings, as required.
Responsible for conducting business development activities through involvement in networking organizations and community events.
Nurtures a culture of accountability. Provides coaching and counseling to all department employees to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Holds employees accountable for their performance, attitude, and behavior.
Communicates regularly and as needed with other management regarding activities and needs, ensuring both staff needs, and company needs are met. Develop, analyze, audit and complete reporting requirements.
Responds to member inquiries and complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
Assumes responsibility for the daily flow and coordination of Branch Operations including establishing and maintaining professional standards, policies, and procedures for the area consistent with other branches, maintaining adequate staffing levels always.
Partners with Consumer, Real Estate and Commercial lending teams, providing loan referrals and ensuring seamless member service through centralized lending channels. Leads business develop and volunteer events in local market.
Performs all supervisory functions for staff directly supervised, including hiring, evaluating, educating, goal setting, disciplinary or reward processes, etc. Arranges for appropriate in-service and orientation training for all applicable staff and assists in same for other staff as needed.
Regularly schedules and conducts meetings to inform employees of Credit Union goals, promotions, products, services, and activities and to encourage participation and open communication within and outside the department of responsibility. Conducts departmental and branch meetings as often as necessary to assure appropriate education, communication, coaching, and training occurs.
In conjunction with upper management, participates in the development and maintenance of an appropriate budget that includes adequate funds for equipment, programming and staffing necessary to deliver effective member services and support the staff.
Participates in strategic planning and development, research, review and implementation of products, services, procedures, and technologies beneficial to our membership.
Participates in and performs special projects with other staff, including development, research and implementation of new products and services beneficial to our membership, such as business services, improvement in lending and deposit processes, etc.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
Maintain a cohesive, highly trained, motivated staff sufficient to meet daily department demands.
Provide professional, timely, and accurate service and support to all members and associates
Achieve assigned branch and market growth goals through exceptional member service and effective business development activities.
Develop recommendations for cost efficiencies and enhancements to policies, procedures, and processes by monitoring trends in collections.
Ensure the department achieves xx% of assigned goals and that direct reports achieve XX% of all their individual goals.
Note observations of employee performance. Give and receive feedback from employee on the same no later than XX working days following each quarter, completing performance reviews within the prescribed timeframe.
