Director, Global Lead Leader

POSITION SUMMARY

The Global Director, Lead Leader will provide strong leadership for global continuous improvement to create, implement, and sustain a strong Lean Hollister Production System (HPS) while ensuring the delivery of key Quality, Service & Cost Objectives.

This is a transformational role as part of the Global Operations team to support both plant and distribution locations to ensure the overall lean production system and culture advance and sustain for Hollister.

The role is both hands-on doing, coaching, mentoring, but also having the ability to create and deploy a strategic roadmap to get Hollister to a world-class operation. Hollister operates in a hybrid work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Critical Support to help create, drive, and implement the overall Continuous Improvement (CI) Strategy for Global Operations, including alignment to the Hollister Production System (HPS) framework, and finalize the development of the Hollister Production System, in order to drive business results.

  • Educate and coach the organization on the culture of continuous improvement and necessary behavioral development, including a culture of continually challenging the status quo, experimentation, autonomous teams, and leadership structures. Includes sharing of best practices.

  • Lead and coordinate Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt certification programs.

  • Partner with senior leaders across the Global Operations organization to ensure consistent deployment of HPS targeted to address the most critical business needs first aligned to the Operations X-matrix.

  • Hands-on teaching and deployment required at the local site location from Leadership to operator associates.

  • Take responsibility for Global Operations strategic initiative projects as appropriate to further drive operational excellence and CI.

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Essential functions of the role

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing 

  • Ability to interface with a computer for a long period of time 

  • Occasional movement over large manufacturing floor area 

  • Public speaking and significant reading requirements 

  • Work flexible start/stop times, across all shifts 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Number of Overall Years Necessary: 8-12

  • 8 - 12 years of professional experience in a progressive manufacturing environment with a proven track record of results delivery

  • Strong track record of having worked in a world-class Lean/Six-Sigma manufacturing environment

  • Experience creating, implementing globally, and working within a lean manufacturing production system is necessary (Shingo or associated award recognition a plus)

  • Bachelor Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or other related field required

  • Project Management experience

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge

  • Black Belt Certification preferred with knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies required

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and execution of global projects

  • Demonstrated ability to influence a cross-functional team and challenge the status quo/change agent in order to deliver business results

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong work ethic, attention to detail and organizational/multi-tasking skills

  • Strong facilitation skills, change management experience and project management

  • Knowledge of ERP Systems preferred

  • Experience in equipment and process validation preferred

  • Experience in automation systems and manufacturing technology preferred

  • Experience in hourly system/data analytics (big data) preferred

  • Strong in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

  • English fluency

  • Must be based at a Hollister Production Site (Stuarts Draft, Virginia or Kaunas, Lithuania or Ballina, Ireland)
