POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our property portfolio.
This role will drive strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, ensure high-quality property management, and deliver exceptional tenant experiences.
The VP of Operations will lead a team of property management operations professionals, manage operational budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, all while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develops and executes strategic plans to improve property management processes, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve company goals.
Coordinates cross-functional teams to execute strategic and enterprise level projects on-time and within scope. Implements project management best practices and tools to ensure successful project delivery.
Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvement to streamline site and corporate operations.
Implements and oversees tenant communication strategies and handle escalated complaints.
Collaborates across departments on initiatives impacting site teams and provides education on site policies and procedures.
Manages and leads the Operations team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Fosters a positive work environment and ensure high levels of staff productivity.
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the department and leads a team of directors, managers and specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor operational performance across the portfolios.
Manages relationships with key vendors, supplies and partners to ensure quality of services and products.
Implements and manages property management software and other technology solutions to streamline operations, enhance reporting, and improve overall efficiency.
Oversees the budgeting process for property operations, ensuring that financial targets are met and expenses are controlled. This includes reviewing financial reports and implementing cost-saving measures.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to property management. Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure legal and regulatory adherence.
Stays informed about market trends, property values, and competitor activities. Use this information to make strategic decisions about property.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate or related field, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
Seven years in property management or a related field, with a strong track record of progressive responsibility.
Proficient in MS office and experience with property management software and other technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to challenges.
Strong commitment to excellence and continuous improvement and ability to manage multiple high-level projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex issues and implement effective solutions.
Ability to handle emergencies and unexpected challenges effectively, with a strategic approach to crisis management.

The VP of Operations will manage a team of 3 directors. This position reports to the SVP of Property Management Enablement.
